• FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

    • By taxi

    Never take a Taxi with someone who comes to you inside the Amsterdam airport By taxi terminal. Outside the airport terminal you best take a cab with the letters TCA, or 'Schiphol Service' Taxi and a number on it. With these companies the cost for the ride is fixed: around 40 Euro. The best thing to do is to settle the price before getting into the Taxi. The ride will take about half an hour. To the cab driver you have to explain that the address of the hotel is: Nieuwe (new) Keizersgracht 22-A The word Nieuwe is very important here, otherwise they will drop you at Keizersgracht 22, which is at the other end of the center. Furthermore you can tell him that it is located in between the Amstel and the Weesperstraat and opposite the Museum Hermitage.

    By train

    Underneath the airport terminal you can take a train to Central Station; they are running every 10 minutes.
    In the train, tram, ore subway you have to watch your luggage and belongings carefully, since there might be thieves on the train or stations. The way they usually operate is by distracting your attention.


  • FROM AMSTERDAM CENTRAL STATION TO THE HOTEL

    • By subway or tram By subway or tram At Central Station you could take the subway, or Tram 9. You have to get off at Waterlooplein ( second stop subway ). Take the exit Waterlooplein/Tram 9. After taking the first escalator, turn left. Once outside walk straight ahead in the direction of the river. Don?t cross the river, but go to the left just before the bridge and cross the street. You will have the river on your right hand now and the second canal on your left hand is the Nieuwe Keizersgracht. (5 min. walking).


  • FROM ALL DIRECTIONS TO THE HOTEL IN AMSTERDAM

    • By car By car Travelling by car, you will enter the ring-way A10. Once there keep following the signs for exit S112: direction centrum. After the last sign you see, you will be in the Wibautstraat. You drive straight on and after passing a large crossing (Rhijnspoorplein) you will enter the Weesperstaat. Here you have to turn left to the Nieuwe Prinsengracht ( on the building on the corner on your right you will see the name ''Stadstoezicht'' written in green letters). Drive on till the end of this street and turn to the right. Now the second street on your right is the Nieuwe Keizersgracht.


    Hotel parking possibilities in Amsterdam

    Parking a car in Amsterdam is quite problematic, one has to pay for it everywhere.
    Parking in the street: from 9.00 till 24.00 hours: all day ticket: around Euro 30.
    Parking garages: Markenhove and Muziektheater: around 40 Euro per 24 hours.
    Both garages are at 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel.
    Outside the center: possibilities to park the car cheaper. www.bereikbaaramsterdam.nl and look at: P+R parking.
